Ok, so Luke bangs on about Darnell and the £100K cheque. But there is a reason for that.
Darnell is much more familiar with the US version of Big Brother where it's much more about playing a game and engraciating yourself with the fellow contestants to get through the weeks and emerge as the winner. Darnell has gone into the house with that idea in mind having not particularly watched the UK version that has a slightly different format. Kat is actually much more familiar with the UK version, hence the cutesy act when she entered. Though, that's now wearing thin. Luke is much more intuned to how the UK version works and Darnell's tactics/stunts, whatever you want to call them, are starkly noticable inside the house. Darnell is only going through the motions of Big Brother in order to reach the end and collect the prize money. While Luke may not have connected Darnell's approach to Big Brother with his familarity with the US format rather than the UK one, he understands what Darnell is trying to do and this frustrates him. Luke's in there purely for the experience of being on the show. For him, making the final would be a bonus. Winning would be a double bonus. Luke's reasoning is that anyone winning the show has enjoyed and made the most of the experience along the way. He doesn't want to see someone who was only there to win the money to win the show. That's why Darnell has been moody since finishing being HoH. He knows he's blown his chance of winning the money...his only real motivation for being there. If he was there purely for the experience he wouldn't be fussed. |

Oh sure.
Luke is clearly not playing a game, but Darnell is! I sense bias. |

Did I say Luke wasn't playing a game? No. I'm just pointing out that what he says about Darnell's tactics in the house are true.
It's the different motivations behind their respective game plans. Darnell is going for the prize money. If he wins, he's played the game well. If he's evicted, he'll feel all bummed out. Luke is going for staying in the house as long as possible to enjoy the experience. If he wins it'll be an absolute bonus. If he's evicted then he's happy he lasted as long as he did. It's all about the attitude towards the game and what you want to get out of it. I prefer Luke's approach. |

Where?
When? All I see is conspiracy theories and character assassinations. Telling someone he thinks something is true and then going on to attack the person is not what anyone would call moral behaviour. |

it is...in a sence that someone has got to win it at the end! their time and whole experience in there is a social experiment!..isnt it suppose to show poeple..how people reacts..or how they respond on certain things...and to understand why...its sociaty in a much smaller scale! praising people for being nasty to others is just like showing that its alright! when there are younger viewers watching! i think its important that luke is made aware of how he treats other...unless he realises that..he wont grow into a man! |

(I think I've used the word post a bit too much there. Hay-ho...) Darnell said, after finding out he was up for eviction, "It's way too early. I thought I would make it to the final 6." There you go. He went in thinking he would cruise to the final. In regards to Luke, I'm not saying he doesn't do those things. I'm just saying what the reasons behind them are. When I said that I prefered Luke's approach to Big Brother over Darnell's I meant that I prefer someone to go in and want to enjoy being in the house rather than just go there for the prize money. That's why Luke is so bothered by Darnell. He doesn't want someone to win if they didn't enter to appreciate the experience. |

Id say that Darnell enjoys the experience more than luke...even tho its not really relative. How many times has Darnell directly stated that he loves being in the big brother house and really doesnt want to leave. I swear its so often. I like that he is so passionate about the show.
Id take a guy that is passionate and gets fired up over things, to someone that just bitches and is negative about absolutely everyone in the house. I dont get why ppl get on ppl for playing the game, they do this in australia too. Dont they realize that IT IS A GAME???!!! |

Favouring someone else over someone else does not necessarily entail biasness. Biasness is showed when you have blatant double standards between housemates you like and don't like (i.e: complaining about Luke's nastiness and excusing Rex's nastiness). |

Luke needs to go. From the day Bex left the house he had nothing else to offer other than his bitchiness.

Darnell is playing a game but so is luke, i think i prefer to watch darnell
though i want darnell out. i dislike him. luke bitches, but when darnell is a twat he says so some things that are really uncalled for like calling dale and stu pricks behind there backs. hes become an ass last 3 weeks, everyone is just trying to sugarcoat every bad thing he does. like with sara making the rice saying it was a joke... if dale done it or even luke u lot would all be like dale / luke is a twat for doing that. |

Unblonde ... and I speak as a Luke fan ... do you really believe what he says?
I think there is something to be said for the theory that everyone basically forgets all gameplans when they get in there, and is just unable to be anything other than themselves. |
