Default The Family= Flop?

Its first episode got 3.7m which is very good.

Last night was the 3rd episode and I found this on Media Guardian:

On Channel 4, fly-on-the-wall documentary The Family shed 700,000 viewers from last week to record 1.5 million and a 6% share in the hour from 9pm.

An extra 334,000 watched The Family at 10pm on Channel 4 + 1.

1.8m... thats pretty bad. This kind of proves how much Channel 4 really need BB.

Heroes was on last night, so that explains the dip in ratings. I wouldn't call it a flop.

Yeah
That was just because of Heroes and Pride of Britain
a lot of my friends who usually watch the Family watched POB instead so..
Anyway,
1.8m isn't really a flop

It isn't bad but it isn't good
It deserves more because the show is so different and interesting.

I watched it, its really good.
I suppose the main reason for the poor ratings was the fact that Heroes was on BBC2.

But, I'll carry on watching The Family - its good to watch. Gotta agree with you Ross, the Dad & Emily are horrible. I like the Mam though.

I like Emily, I pretty much hate everyone else.

I watched it on C4+1 after Heroes :]

BBC1 had Silent Witness as well and ITV1 had the Pride of Britain, both got at least 5m.

I'd say give it a week or two before calling it a flop, you never know it might gain momentum yet
