Now, before i post this i want you to know that i am not racist and in my eyes we are all just human
But what i do not get is how they can say on Tv and Radio, "Black music"? If it came up one day with "White Music" the radio station would be in a lot of trouble and everyone would be arguing about it and making it an issue? Anyone Agree? |

good point Lewis, music is music no matter which race produces it.
I wish they'd drop these steryotypes together with the MOBO awards. Its funny how it only seems to be the music industry that does this, can you imagine a brand new cookery show on "black food"? or a "black film" ?ect ect. |

The Black music awards always overlook house and techno, it was made by black people in Detroit and Chicago back in the early 1980s.
Even disco was started in the black gay clubs but that was pushed aside for the mainstream.. Then when the joe the public/money makers etc had enough of disco, the music went back underground as it first started... Out of that and new style of music was born... House music. |

I've always thought the same. Whites can be offensive towards blacks but blacks can't be offensive towards whites.
I understand this dates back to the time of slavery, but if they wanted equality why should they continue to belittle the whites? BET (in the US, not sure if it's in the UK) is a prime example. If WET was established there would be public uproar, but whites are tolerant to giving special treatment to blacks while blacks (and even some sensitive whites) aren't. I'm not saying this applies to everyone, but to an overall race. It even seems to me the whites aren't tolerant towards special treatment give towards whites. |
