I'd have the fans pick The housemates by having a two week trial run in a house next to the main BB house and at the end of the two weeks we vote on 12 housemates for a 10 week BB

If anyone goes in the diary room to say they want to leave, the chair tips back immediately and they go down a shute - into a bin where they are handed thier belongings and thier bus fare home.
