Default Pets for Big Brother 3

I'm not too sure if it would be a good idea if they were to have chicken again next time because although they can bring many comical moments in the first 2 BB's the chickens have got ill and some got very ill so me thinks that this time they should have pigs instead even though you can't get eggs from pigs.

Obviously I am only one small part of BBfans, so I can only speak for myself.

However, I think chickens play an integral part in the show. The contestents are forced to look after the birds, and are rewarded with eggs if they do a good enough job. In weeks following a failed task, these eggs can be vital if they want to avoid hunger.

Pigs would be interesting, but only if Big Brother provides a knife to kill the animals for the meat. In times of hunger, the conflict between those who want to kill a pig and those who do not would be very interesting indeed.

I'm not sure that pigs would be a good idea, especially if BB3 is held during the summer. This year's housemates weren't too enamoured with the 'aroma coming from the chicken coop this year - so I dread to think what a pigsty would be like!!

As for an alternative to chickens - duck eggs are very tasty, and the housemates could call them after Donald and his nephews!

It would need to be a useful animal, and cows are too big, so maybe a goat. They could all argue about the funny milk. They might even be able to make cheese.

Goats would be quite good but boy they don't half pong and they are great escapologists. The thought of someone like Helen having to cope with goats would be hilarious, probably chickens are the most practical pet but the racket that cockerel kicked up when H&P were in the den was maddening

I agree with peachey that the only really practical and useful pets would be chickens. However, Daisy the Cow might be quite amusing. You can just imagine the week one task - learning to milk her and having to get a pint per housemate.

Default Pets

What about puppies?
Although they would need to be house trained, they would provide endless entertainment and fun for the housemates.

Default puppies

No, no, no, no, i'd also like to see puppies on BB3 but they should all be new born puppies and each housemate should have their own puppy to look after and train and then half way through they should give them all kittens and they have to tach them both not to attack each other. Hello Nick please don't steel my ideas about seeing puppies on BB3.:rudolph:

But then drunken kittens would be so much more entertaining because they'd be getting up to so much mischief chasing stuff and staggering around and making slurred meowing sounds, not to mention what drunken puppies would be like that would be great. It would be hilarious seeing 11 housemates and their pets in slightly drunken state.

I agree with you that it would be funny, sarah - but there's no way that Big Brother could allow the housemates to be drunk in charge of 11 puppies and kittens.

Far safer trusting them to shut the chickens in their coop for the night! :santa:

Default pets in bb house

chickens are as much a part of bb as the bb housemates.so why not a few rabbits and some more fish. a cat would be cool it would be fun to watch a housemate trying to get cat hairs out of their clothes.(and keeping it away from the rabbit and chickens let alone the fish)
