Default Why am I forced to watch Idiots make Idiotic decisions and behave like Idiots

I admit it, I'm hooked, but why?

I would never behave like these people. I think their decision making is horrendous. They appear to openly do things to create unfortunate circumstances for themselves. It is like self torture.

I am sure there is some repressed nature within them, that continually forces them to put them through a harsh situation after harsh situation.

Do I care if Halfwit chooses to be eccentric? No. Or he wishes to say weird things that don't make sense to the greater scheme of things? No. In fact it makes me want to pull my hair out. At least he could fathom, like Tom, that it is all a huge waste of time and walk out.

But no, they want to torture themselves.

This whole collection of housemates, with their bizarre personalities appear to have been chosen to treat each other with disdain and disrespect. I don't recall ever meeting anybody in real life like this lot.

The whole series was summed up for me when Noirin said to Tom "I thought you were stronger than this?". What is this? A boreathon to see how long somebody can endure being bored and have obscure relationships with people you betray left right and centre? Siavash and Noirin seem to think endless lies and self betrayal are fine as long as you have Marcus near you to nod his head and then breath Testosterone waste out of his nostrils.

I have enjoyed previous Big Brothers. I could relate to numerous people - even the ones I didn't favour or rate. I have no real favourite this year. A selection of very very dull individuals who use peculiar behaviour to attract attention.

The closest person/people I could relate to were Tom and now Rodrigo.

Wow. I thought I'd be slaughtered but I am completely honest. I want to watch Simpsons or the News instead of BBLB - but I switch over. I want to watch the other channels instead of the show - but I switch over.

I have given up on live feed.

I must state, seeing Siavash kiss Noirin has had an awful effect on my sanity. I could feel Tom's bewildered fear of existence when he responded to Bea telling him Noirin and Siavash kissed.

They haven't all been so bad. I remember doing a little dance when the HL show came on last year and in previous years I still enjoyed it. Grew tired of it in 2007 a little but it was still cool.

BB6 also had me to the end, even though I got a little tired of it.

This, has just got me confused. So dull.

Non celebrities, come in all shapes and sizes, to reach the first rung of the ladder you wish to climb requires great feats of mental strength. You may have to embarass yourself on a daily basis, talk to people you don't like, sit and stair into space, as the camera roll's and betray, backstab and abuse your peer's. It's hard but well worth it.

This was an extract from the book:

"How to become a Z list celebrity in 3 months"

If the housemates behaved better than us, if there actions were not see-through and yet unfathomable then we would not watch.

why does anyone watch the utter pile of vile tosh that is Eastenders?

But I wish I could understand what they were doing and why.

I haven't agreed with people in the past but I understood them.

There is a sad immaturity in this lot, almost painfully desperate.

I do not understand why anyone would want to go on the show and totally utterly humilate themseves

There is no credibility in it whatsoever

They are a laughing stock and even the media hounds are not interested in them anymore

They do not even get their full 15 minutes of fame it ridiculous

Self absorbed individuals

I think the majority of people are like that I said this year im not going onto the forum - but I dragged in again and end up getting worked up about things that happen in the house - my kids think its hilarious.

I think it's based upon how much you can delude yourself into believing that it's worth it and what you need.

Noone is forcing you. You have at least 4 other channels to choose from, most likely hundreds

Your point is somewhat weakened by your choice of Rodrigo.
He is truly one of the most strange humans that has featured in BB.
He reminds me of those old comedians who had medical problems which caused them to never mature, like Jimmy Clitheroe.
His lack of physical maturity (look at the width of his shoulders) is allied to the emotional maturity more usual in a 10-year old.
