I was just wondering how and why people voted. Do you have a particular act who you vote for every week, and would you still vote for them even if you thought they were rubbish one week?
Or is there an act who you would NEVER vote for, even if you thought that they were far and away the best act of the night? Or do you start each week with a clean slate and simply vote for whover you thought was the best act? I have to say that I don't vote myself, because I record the shows to watch later (my boyfriend says that it makes his eyes bleed if I make him sit through X Factor)! |

I voted for the first time last week for Chico, Nicholas and Journey South. I voted for Chico and Nicholas because I like them but thought that they might be in the bottom 2 and I voted for Journey South because I thought they were the best on the night. This week I am proably going to vote for Chico and Andy.

I tend to vote for whatever act happens to be my particular favourite - at the moment, I'm loving Shayne and Journey South so I'd vote for one myself and get someone else to vote the other. I also tend to vote more in the final - if either of my favourites this year get through, then it is likely to be one of them, or if not, then I'd go for whoever was likely to do well in the future.

I used vote for both Chenai and Maria. But since Chenai has left I'll be voting Maria all the way and to who ever impresses me on the night.

I don't vote at all, because I don't think we should have to pay for it. They get enough money as it is from the advertising revenue. In the US, there are no charges at all to vote for American Idol - it's an entirely toll-free system. I saw a breakdown in one of the papers recently, and seem to remember reading that it can cost as much as 85p per. vote on some networks, which is ridiculous. If it was free to vote, then I'd vote for the act that I thought performed best on the night - which of course would be affected by personal bias.
