Default Strictly Come Dancing beats X Factor Ratings

I heard that last week, Strictly Come Dancing beat the X Factor in its ratings figures. However, last Saturday was Bonfire night, and the section of the population that usually watch the X Factor are probably younger (30 and below) so they went to parties etc..

Do people agree or is the X Factor losing its steem?

I think you're probably right that maybe a lot of people who watch X Factor may have been out last week. I think it's just getting interesting!

I'm regularly torn between the two shows, as they're deliberately pitted against each other in the time slots

I don't necessarily think that a great deal of the X Factor viewers were out, although they may well have been, my view is that it's hard to choose between the two and therefore Strictly randomly came out on top this week! (IMO of course!)

It'd be better if they were both on after each other so that it would enable us to watch both, although I guess there's no ratings competition in that eh!? What happened to simply enjoying television!!?

I weren't in last week either so obviously missed it on ITV1. I watched it though at like 12 on ITV2!
