Parts of the UK have been declared to be in a “heat wave” after temperatures hit the magic 30 Celsius. Parts of Kent and Sussex are reporting temperatures exceeding 30°c. Senior Forecaster for KWFS Rob Howard added “Thanks to the Jet Stream moving North temperatures have been able to soar under clear skies, temperatures tonight will remain mild with temperatures not likely to drop below 18°c in urban areas.”
With temperatures likely to soar again tomorrow to similar values and further high pressure expected next week, it looks like summer 2009 is finally taking hold. For the latest on the heat wave in Southeast England visit www.kwfs.info |
