MTV has made a pilot presentation order for the reinvention of 1980s movie Teen Wolf, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original film starred Michael J. Fox as a teenager who discovers he is a werewolf. The cable network's remake is said to follow a similar story set in high school.

"It has a fresh take and is very different from the original," said MTV's Liz Gateley. "It has more of an American Werewolf in Paris feel to it. It's a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element: They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques."

MTV recently announced plans to develop a US version of teen drama Skins.

Firstly, why use American Werewolf in PARIS as an inspiration? This is gonna be so sh*t and I hope it fails miserably. Oh how I hate MTV it used to be great in the 90's but now due to talentless bitches like Heidi Montag it's brain numbingly AWFUL. Can't someone put the channel out of it's misery PLEASE.
