Of course they did. There's not much else to him. When he had that argument with Lisa he came out of nowhere from 35 year old loser living with Mum and abusing Sree to knight in shining armour for Noirin who boo hoo, wanted to go on a hunger strike.

Of course Sree gave him a kick start by arguing with him but yes, Marcus is only popular because of, well in fact because of Noirin and his obsession with her - although arguing with Lisa and Sree (who were close to Noirin) got him there.

I don't think he would have done anything at all, not even smidgeon if it wasn't Siavash who was jealous from the get go and go him against Sree. Marcus was very quiet and reserved until he got talking to Siavash and the late night backstabbing.
