Got this from the Channel 4 BB Forum :
~~~~~~~~~~ "Remember me I told you about a close friened of mine who worked on Big Brother 2 & 3 telling me about there being a pig pen and pig in this years house in place of the vegtable patch that was never used last year, as well as the chickens. The Steam room being built in the bathroom, and the bunk beds being put in the bedrooms this year, aswell as the other stuff. Which found its way into the sunday mirror last week after a week of me posting this on the site and it then being deleted by the channel 4 forum monitor on here. Well heres some more news ive found out. There will be 14 housemates for definte, thats why they put bunk beds in. Both the girls and boys bedroom will have 3 bunk beds in and 1 double waterbed. Big Brother 4 are going to base this years format on the Australian Big Brother 2. They are only selecting fun housemates like brian from bb2 not loud mouths like jade from bb3. They are also adding fake small palm trees in pots to the house to liven up the lounge area. This years diary room chair is purple. The BB4 logo and planned colour scheme for the big brother website is purple and tuquise. And finally when the housemates are evicted this year they will get on golf buggy thing as soon as they walk down the stairs and will be sped along in the buggy past the screaming or booing audience to Davina who will now wait in the studio with the family and friends of the evicted housemate to greet the housemate. Plus eviction music will be played this year when they exit the house. Similar to Big Brother 1 and 2. So the other Housemates cant hear whats happening outside. " ~~~~~~~~~~~ Will be interesting to see if any of this is true, don't you think? |
14 housemates sounds a lot though. Surely with this many people it must be on for longer this year.
Me too!
I'm getting good vibes about BB4 - just hope as many of these rumours as possible are true. The return of the eviction music would be great - last year it must have been terrible for the likes of Adele to leave the house and hear nothing but the awful 'boos' from the crowd. At least some music would have drowed them out a bit. 14 housemates at the start IS a lot, but I'm sure I've seen another rumour somewhere that possibly one or two of the housemates will only be staying the first night, or maybe not even getting to unpack their suitcase. The excitement mounts! |
I don't like that idea, it was bad enough only having Lynne in the house for a week, I'm sure she would have been much more fun had she stayed longer!
It doesn't give us long enough to get to know the contestant! Look what happened last year! We kept Jade in!!!!!!!! Please keep the housemates in for a fortnight and let us get to know them before we do anything rash! |
My only worry reading about the producers selecting fun housemates is that they end up with a bunch of attention seekers who try to turn the show into a talent show.
I'd kinda prefer quiet, 'ordinary' people. I have to admit I was not very impressed by the antics of the likes of Jonny last year. He tried to be a fun character. I know many of you disagree with this of course. 14 housemates is probably too many. The return of the music should be pretty good though. I just hope that this year's show feels more 'real' than BB3. |
I think this will be worse than BB3, due to the law of diminishing returns.
Oh well, we'll see when bb4 starts, Johnny last year was ok sometimes then sometimes over the top in trying to hard, then he got depressed. We need some natural wit this year. It's going to be interesting in seeing who they've picked, I'm sure it will be ok, because the theme last year was agro, it seemed to be in whom they picked and what they did by putting up the bars and the lack of food for some, the amount of booze they supplied for others as well as some over the top housemates. This year sounds different.
That's true Mairi, there should be a nice balance. Last year was over the top one way, let's hope they don't do the same this year year. 50 50 is what we want.
I agree with you about natural wit, Steve_o. Just hope they don't go OTT and put 14 "natural wits" in the house.
