I watched "A shot at love with Tila Tequila" in January and there was actual punch ups on it lol

Wow. The eviction rated so badly. All I can think is that the good weather has had an effect. Still no excuses though. Its doing badly. Anyone who thought Big Brother could continue for another 3 year contract well this series ratings have proved you wrong.

Exactly Im holding onto hope that the +1 for the 1st show got 700k or something bizzare like that to bring it to 2.9m and nearly 3m... WONT HAPPEN

Tonight BB starts at 10pm and in the next week we have loads of 8pm slots, looks like C4 want it to fail, so if thats the case, why should we care about ratings? they are killing it.

Because C4 are stupid, it worked in CBB7 but it didnt work ion BB9, BB10 so i doubt it will work in BB11.

CBB7 basically did everything right, it fought off competition whatever it was... maybe because it was better, or had great celebs or maybe because it wasnt 29 degrees like it is now, it was like 2 degrees lol

The only shot at the excuse i have is that it was prom night last night which was for 15-16 year olds, and was also a Dinner Dance/Sixth Form night for students around Surrey at least. Could explain the extremely low ratings all round last night, LOL its not all bad, Hollyoaks dipped to its second ever lowest last night, less than 700k... but still....
I feel for the 8pm slot.

But not to worry, im sure All Stars will rate decently

It was stated in another thread on DS that last night was a prom night for loads of schools... I dont know whats exactly true, I do know that my cousin (in the year below me) had her prom last night, she got a little pissed at the afterparty

Clearly people are losing interested, this is a sign that they really need to put new housemates in QUICK.

And the fact that they are always changing the time around makes it worse because nobody ever knows what time it's on.

I wouldnt say lose interest, i know thats not it for sure because 2.6m wouldnt tune in to nominations and only 2.1m for the actual eviction... obviously A LOT of people were out last night with it being hot. It will rise hopefully, it just doesnt make sense that 500k less people would watch the eviction than when they nominayed only a couple of days earlier.

The recent edition "The Real World Washington DC" the premierie was watched by 1.9m and then teh final acchieved a record low rating of 1.1m

That's not bad ratings for MTV, though. The Real World is still one of MTV's highest rated shows (along with The Hills and Jersey Shore).

yes they are good for MTV but you can say the same thing about BB and C4. BB is like TRW MTV of Channel 4. Flagship show.

Jersey Shore was epic though.... maybe because most of them came from round of abouts where i come from
