If the target age group is 18 to 34 does that mean that anyone over that shouldnt be interested.

Well I'll just get my knitting out and put on my granny glasses, walk over to the tv with the aid of my walking stick switch on bb4 and spend the time criticising how the young ones can watch such trash.

Or maybe I will sit there with a glass of wine or two, a few nibbles, a box of tissues and enjoy every minute.

At my work, the majority of the 18 - 34 year olds in my group don't even watch Big Brother or watch just odd snatches of it. Just like BusyBee, I have to put up with a fair bit of friendly teasing because of my addiction to it.

I think Big Brother and programmes like I'm a Celebrity, Survivor etc appeal to absolutely any age IF you like reality TV.

Well my class (aged 10) all love reality Tv eveb tho they should be in bed and not hearing the language. Never mind - that's their parent's decsion.

Anyway, we have a daily IACGMOOH discusssion and the new key words are 'Control' and 'Focus'. Thanks Fash

We are looking forward to BB4 - even if I am way over the age limit!!!!!!!!!!

who has the greater spending power someone of 16 or someone of 46?
Well actually younger people have a more "disposable" income as they genrally do not have do spend their money on items such as rent, morgages, kids e.t.c x They are free to "waste" money on items that are enjoyable or higher quality life products x
This is why the majority of the media is aimed at that particular age range. Now i'm not saying that anyone out of that range can't watch it . It's just who it is aimed at. There are millions of people who watch Big brother and i can assure you that the majority of that audience is made up of 16 - 34 year olds. And they are going to want to attract more of this age range and one of the ideas that they have had to insure this is not to place over 40's into the house as the majority of the "younger" age groups are not interested in watching people that are not of their generation and who they can't relate to.
