Default Pride of Britain Awards

Did anyone else watch this programme tonight? All I can say is ...... I was in absolute floods, and I defy anyone to have watched it and stayed dry eyed.

My congratulations and undying respect & admiration to all the award winners - they were magnificent.

I was wailing for a good half hour after it had finished. I was already in awe of the various brave, and gutsy selfless actions, but it was the pure unadulterated happiness of the head-teacher at being given keys to the minibus that really got me going.

It wasn't needed, but it really proved that she did what she did, not to gain recognition, but to get tangible results for her children. The funding for a minibus is nothing to most of the people there, or compared the the cost of putting on the ceremony, but I knew it meant so much to her.

It was an excellent reminder to us all that grand jestures are not always required to make the world a better place.

Did anyone else spot Simon Cowell in the audience? You know, I think I might have caught him looking, well, meek.

I saw this too. The people were just all so brave, I cried especially when that little boy who was scarred said, 'I just pretend they're not there and Im just a normal boy' He was soooooo sweet!
Gareth also performed and he was good too, he looked really quiet.
It was a good show and I was crying a lot!
