For me, partly it was the housemates that were selected.
For about three years running it seemed that only Gay, transexual or people "claiming" to be bisexual need apply.
I don't have anything against people in those demographics, but I thought the idea was that the mix of housemates should represent society in general - and for some time it didn't.
Then in a couple of the series is seemed only screechy bleached blonde under 21 year old girls need apply.
The big thing that really showed me they'd lost the plot in production though was the Charlie Uchea scenario where they seemed to change the rules and make her immune from eviction for about three weeks running.
I've still watched every series though.
Every series has had good and bad bits.
