She did seem like she had just been told off over something and that Brian had too. She said something about not being racist as well so it would tie in with the story

Thats the point. It is not that she said "black". It is that blacks was put in the same context as all sorts.

Its unbelievable though, Makosi is her bf in the house, so dont think she would be racist.
