It frustrates me that they do that same style of video every single year. Oh well, I guess it was too much to ask for a complete change all in one, at least they got different winner's singles this year! Incidentally that's the first time I've listened to the single (as in, saw the live version on the final, but not the version that was released until now) and I'm still not really blown away by it, but he had a much better song than Rebecca.

I have not watched X Factor... Only knows that he's the winner.
Nice guy, but that song is really boring and forgettable

The bit where it shows Rebecca looking nervous is horrible

I will always have a problem with this song, screw the video. I -hate- how they changed the name of the song, because if it gets to Christmas number one people of this nation will fail to comprehend a song called 'Many of Horror' being Christmas number one. I don't know if anyone else has said this yet, but gah. I don't know whether I should be pleased that a good song is the single for a change, or the fact that X Factor are ****ting on it.

17/Dec/2010 With just one week to go until the official Christmas No1 is revealed, 2010 X-Factor winner Matt Cardle sets himself up in pole position on the Singles Chart with ‘When We Collide’. In the process he scores the fastest-selling single in Ireland since 2002, when Six broke all records with ‘There’s A Whole Lot Of Loving Going On’. Despite having the second-fastest selling single of 2010 (behind Matt Cardle) and more than 2m YouTube hits so far for their video, comedy hip hop duo The Rubberbandits have to settle for a No2 debut with their very un-festive ‘Horse Outside’. The Limerick lads can, however, claim the fastest-selling download ever in Ireland – and were only denied the overall No1 spot this week by the avalanche of CD sales for Matt Cardle. Rihanna climbs from No9 to No3 with ‘What’s My Name’ (feat. Drake) – her fourth Top 5 single in less than six months, and all four are placed in the Top 30 this week. The third new entry comes from Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro at No10 with ‘Many Of Horror’, the original version of Matt Cardle’s ‘When We Collide’. Taken from their platinum ‘Only Revolutions’ album, the song was first released as a single earlier this year when it failed to make the charts Take That’s ‘Progress’ climbs back to No1 on the Album Chart after a three week break, ahead of non-mover Rihanna at No2 with ‘Loud’ and Westlife, down to No3 with ‘Gravity’. There’s only one new entry in this week’s chart – Michael Jackson’s ‘Michael’ at No18. This is the first set of new material to be released since his death in June last year, and includes collaborations with Akon, 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz.

I like the video.
Watched the Radio 1 Chart on webcam yesterday evening. Great to see Matt there. He was so nervous about what position he'd get. He, like myself, was thoroughly chuffed he got to number one. |
