NEW X Factor king Matt Cardle will team up with show pal Aiden Grimshaw on his new album – if he gets his way, that is. The chilled-out champ is trying to convince label bosses to let him duet with Aiden after penning a series of tracks with his new BFF. But I hear not everyone at the label is as thrilled about the possible duet. CHEAP SUMMER HOLIDAY DEALS: BOOK A BARGAIN NOW! My X Factor foghorn told me: “Matt and Aiden have their hearts set on recording together. “They were best mates on the show and when Aiden was booted out, Matt promised they would record a song together for his first album if he won. “They’ve already written a few things together from just jamming on the guitar in the house. “Matt told Aiden at the X Factor wrap party he was going to honour his word whether Simon Cowell likes it or not. “The lads are also talking about possibly moving in together at some point.” I wouldn’t hold my breath though, if I were Aiden. He may have a whole army of fans out there trying to get him signed but I heard similar stories of Alexandra Burke and Ruth Lorenzo, not to mention Joe McElderry and Rachel Adedeji which never came to fruition. And I hear it’s not just Aiden in Matt’s sights. The booze-loving ladies’ man also wants to collide with Rihanna again after she helped him to win the show. Matty boy, 27, told me: “Rihanna called me after the show finished and I said I’d love to do something again with her – she was great but I really don’t know if it will happen.” Something tells me Simon Cowell would be much happier about getting Rihanna on the record than Aiden. Then again – who wouldn’t?
