Default Some weird rumour my friend heard.

Okay so Im not sure if this has been confirmed (which I highly doubt) and posted here and everything, but my friend said he read/heard somewhere that every show this year is 3 hours long?! That's really unbelievable but did anyone else hear this or is my friend just being a complete twat? Because he was being completely serious and I know he was.

I doubt it because that is too long, people would get so bored.

I'd be surprised if the launch show was that long, let alone every show.

No. I think the nights BOTS is on it runs straight after the highlights so it will be a two hour run of BB maximum.

It was posted on the DS that they were planning on making the shows longer than ever, but 3 hours would just be overkill.

I didn't

But still, 3 hours is far to long for the X Factor too.

Yeah seriously it'd be 3 hours each week of predictable auditions. Not even good ones.

And it's going to clash with BB as it is :/ I dont get why they chose BB so late in the year cos not many will choose BB over XF. Unless they dont show on Saturdays like early series'. Then again later on in the year XF plays on Sunday too. And if it's longer than usual, even if not 3 hours, then it's annoying.

Don't think I could tolerate three hours of those four judges.

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...s-2330533.html

I can't see audition shows being any longer than an hour, or an hour and a half as they usually are for the premiere. But I can see the live shows being three hours definitely, they've been two and a half before so I can't see why not?

Yeah, IIRC the first few live shows are always 2 1/2 hours, and then for the rest of the series they remain at 2 hours [because don't forget once there's around 5/6 acts, they each perform two songs].

It's a stupid idea, they have adverts literally after every performer, I don't see how they can make the show any longer

My friend meant auditions too which is obviously bollocks but the live shows wont be that long taking into account ad breaks

that article mentions there being 16 acts. so probably no wildcard this time round, probably just 16 from the start.

And is it still over 28s

They have to though, I don't really understand why anyone ever complains about this. When you think about it, each part starts with Dermot/mentor introducing their act, then a VT, that in total probably makes up a good 4 minutes. Then around a 2 minute performance [I think?] and around 5 minutes of comments/chat with Dermot/voting numbers. All of that totals 11 minutes, then the last 4 minutes are averts - that's how each 15 minute segment is split up I'm sure.

There's definitely no extra adverts though, just the 3 each hour.
