Sangat TV presenter just tweeted that a Gurdwara in Derby has been burnt down, they are on their way down to Derby from Brum because it's not that far away and will be reporting from there.

He's also appealed for people to stay calm!

I said earlier I've never met a Sikh I didn't like, and I meant it. They've got such a great philosophy on life, and I think I'm right in saying that Silkhism has more holidays, festivals, parties and celebrations than any other faith. Some people where I work have also been talking this morning about how the Silks fought like lions for this country during WW2. They've done themselves proud in the last few days.

Still, the guy stops and gets off his bike and then they start laying into him and kicking him when he's on the ground, it doesn't even look like they arrest him or anything, looks like excessive force to me

I'm pretty sure people were moaning about the police not doing anything a few days ago, yet when they do do something, people moan, obviously we don't see them get arrested as the video ends before that.

Pretty big difference between doing nothing and having 3 or 4 policeman knock a guy to the ground and continually beat him when he's posing no threat. I don't think of this as evidence that the police are actually "doing something" it looks like they just felt like laying into someone to me
