Default Why are people not that excited this time round?

I am really looking forward to it as I always do.

Are you excited? If not, why?
Is it because of what some people say is a mediocre last series?
Big brother overkill? ( 3 series in less than 6 months is a bit much for some)

I think we should be excited for the upcOming series as for the first time in a while we will have live feed, albeit a very reduced live feed.

The rumoured line up seems amazing, maybe as good as cbb7 with vine jones etc.

Forgot to add.
is it just because some people like to be negative about the show?

I tend to not get excited about it before it starts. I usually like to watch the launch, then I start to get interested.

I'm not excited, but I'll happily watch.

The line up seems pretty good, but I'm just not really a fan of CBB.

So close to the end of the last one I guess. I dunno though, there doesn't seem to be as much hype as there usually is.

I'm not excited because I simply am not motivated enough and have seen certain rumours about who might be going in...

I am excited but they have jammed to many series in at once.

This forum is dead compared to previous series.

a) too many series
b) channel 5
c) too often have watched a launch and then lost interest within a week (the last one I watched semi-regularly was BB9)

just apathetic about the whole show now really

The rumored housemates dont appeal to me so far. Mind you if Wiley does go in, this would be the best series ever.

BB on C5 is a travesty of its former self - I don't even give it the once-over on launch night any more

Big Brother was revived too soon. That's the problem. It's known as a show to avoid amongst the public. If C5 left it for, say, 3-5 years the whole show could have been given a huge reboot and a whole new audience could be introduced to the concept. Some ex-viewers may have given the show another chance and BB would probably carry on for many years after.

Within the year of the show being buried into the ground C5 brought it back, went way over the top with editing, cut live feed, introduced a crap presenter and have tried using the Daily Star to overly hype it up. I gave up mid way through the main series last year, it's just utter crap now.

3 series within a year is ridiculous too.

Channel 4 left the show in a good position and Channel 5 have killed it stone dead and in an even more spectacular fashion than Channel 4. It took C4 4 years to kill the show off, Channel 5 managed it within a month. They cobbled 2 series together in 4 months and we're now on for the third in the space of 6 months.

Channel 5 shouldn't have bothered with the 2011 shows and concentrated on their revamp. The impending CBB could have been the start of that, if it wasn't on last year then it would have been away for 16 months which is enough time. The line up looks brilliant but I fear its going to be completely ruined by Channel 5's incompetence.

All good points. I didn't watch the CBB 2011, and I only got halfway through the BB 2011... I can see me watching the first week or so of CBB2012, then losing interest.. It's overkill.
