continue.Emmerdale's Adam Barton will be at the centre of the soap's upcoming arson storyline, a tabloid report has claimed.

The young farmer, played by Adam Thomas, sets fire to the village's garage in a dramatic attempt to get revenge against local bad boy Cain Dingle, according to the Daily Star.

Adam is reportedly driven to desperate measures as he blames Cain (Jeff Hordley) for the recent death of his dad John. Keen to settle the score in his unstable state, he decides that he wants to get rid of the villain for good.

While the blaze scenes will see danger for more than one character, it is thought that there will ultimately be no casualties.

However, the Daily Star has also suggested that troubled Aaron Livesy will claim that he is responsible for the incident, wanting to protect best friend Adam.

Aaron's exit plot apparently sees him take the blame before leaving the village, as he decides that Adam should not suffer any further following his recent grief.

Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, announced his decision to leave Emmerdale last November.
