Good news. It was a joke not having no housemates over 30 in last year's series. Every series needs at least one oldie, they're usually good housemates too.

Most repulsive winner ever? Really? That's harsh, Scotty.

Very good news although last years was very entertaining overall. Definately though, a wider age range and therefore better mix will only increase the entertainment value of the next series.

I really hated her with a passion, even more than Lisa and Charlie and those two were horrific enough. She should've taken a serious look at herself in the mirror and said "I see dead people" after randomly commenting to Tom that Anthony BB6 was proper ugly in such a nasty way.

When it comes to legendary repulsive BB housemates that I hated, she is right up there challenging the most repulsive of them. If anything I would say that is a kind word for her from me, not harsh. It's no suprise that she was friends with the equally repuslive Danielle Loyd CBB5.

BB10 was reallly hard for me to get into at first. It felt like freak central to me. A lot of the drama was annoying at first too but some of the stuff that went on was excellent.

For me I hope they mix it up well and I hope they don't let them talk about nominations this season. I know it's "fun" to hear them plan out stuff but to be honest I think it takes away from the show. I'd rather see them forced to make choices between other houseguests for rewards or punishments. Cause them to create hell for each other in the house to cause drama that leads to evictions. No more trick rooms or lame advantages like that.

This is definately good news as older people have had a lot more 'life' experiences, pick some with great personalities and they could be much more fun and interesting than just a bunch of hotties in their teens/early 20's, who have done very little to talk about.
My ideal would be several single hotties of both sexes in various ages from late teens to 40's for obvious possible romance stories,
A couple of old eccentrics, the obvious gay guy but not necessarily young, and 1 or 2 horrid annoying people for us to hate and shout at the tv about

Yeh I think they def need to mix it up this year, I attended the Auditions but fell at the last hurdle, however I met some great characters including an Ice Skater, and a mother and daughter duo auditioning as one, they were really great, the mother was in her 40's and was sooooo hot, she would def appeal to the older audience as she was really witty and had had several businesses, and her duaghter was really hot and funny too, they had a bar together somewhere up North.
I also met other characters, who weren't just young and pretty or gay, though admittedly the majority there were.
I'd like to see someone with more about them as older people have been there and done that and would make great viewing, look at last celebrity BB it was won by a 53 year old who beat off the youngsters and as the main viewing audience are young, they must like watching them.

So a token oldie and a token Scots/Welsh/Irish housemate.

Isn't diversity wonderful.

If C5 are serious about casting more older contestants (I take everything they say with a pinch of salt) then it's fantastic news, older contestants are very often some of the more enjoyable contestants to watch, and after CBB9 was such a success with a predominantly older cast they couldn't really ignore the need for older contestants.

As for BB12 I personally didn't have that many grievances with the cast, I think it was quite a good group with only Aden, Tom and Louise being the only noticable duds. The biggest problem though was more then anything the types of contestants cast, which was on the whole very safe and not really pushing the boundaries of diversity, nearly every contestant in BB12 was either a contestant chosen because of their similarities to a previous housemate (Aaron= Alex Sibley, Anton= Victor) or was a stock character from 'scripted reality' shows (Jay= Geordie Shore, Harry= Made In Chelsea).

Hopefully after CBB9 production are willing to push the boat out and give us some more intreguing character concepts.

I wonder if this is true or the usual "Give them what they want to hear and don't deliver" tripe that Channel 5 have done for the past three series.

They always have their posh token toff. Freddie then Ben then Harry.

All of them were brilliant housemates! We need another posh token toff lad! But I would love to see a snooty posh toff lass as well.

And they better not be from "Made in Chelsea"

NO ONE FROM A BLOODY AGENCY. Thanks x

But yeah hopefully a few 'freaks' and older house-mates.
BB9 was good. You only need 1 attractive male (Dale) and 1 attractive female (Jen) to look at! Then the rest must be based purely on personality. Dale and Jen were quite good all round housemates though.

True. More than one oldie please! A few in their 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's! Thanks!

True. The UK is in a high rise of obesity. Last series was too safe, young and generic. You need a few fattys! HA.

Yes you have listed some brilliant housemates.

Oh yes we need another posh totty like Emily Parr from BB8. Or a sociopath like Bea BB10.

I liked Kenneth Tong from BB10 too. HA. And Tom who left

I hope they're right because that would make the series overall a lot better. With a bit of luck maybe 2.5m/3m will tune into the launch and like the housemates then stick with it though because if people aren't watching from the beginning I can't imagine they'd be bothered to start from the middle of the series.
