Default I don't think the Housemates have been chosen yet!

O.K.
So there are alot of questions about when and why the date hasn't yet been released and I think it is because Big Brother haven't even told the potential housemates who they are yet!
The reason I say this is because my brother has got down to the final 50 and Big Brother were doing the police checks however very late on, about 3-4 weeks ago they notified him that they were unable to do this themselves and that he had to go and get it himself.
It only came back last week and they wouldn't have even recieved it in the post yet, this would have been for everyone else who were in the final 50 too I would have thought, so maybe, until they have recieved all of them, Big Brother can't pick the final Housemates and therefore have had to keep the date on ice until all the paperwork is complete?

You always have to do the police check yourself. I was living in Ireland and had to get one from here, BB never do it. It can cause hold ups (mine was a cock up with my **** of a Doctor and med recs). Delay could be many factors, if early June start then Seclusion/Quarantine/Isolation is going to be NOW!

No - they said to him that they would be getting it, then phoned him up to ask him to apply himself as they were unable to do it, this was literally only 3-4 weeks or so ago and it has only just come back, so how could anyone be in hiding yet if they haven't had the full checks done as for all they know they could have a convicted sex offender who has done their time etc in hiding !

I think they are in hiding for less time than was common a decade ago.

Days rather than weeks.

If they've chosen the wild cards, which probably won't go in till the first eviction, and their not just eviction fodder from the early stages (I doubt it as their probably putting them in early on before they need some) then they've chosen the housemates. Or at least have narrowed it down enough in their heads from that 50 to know who probably is and probably isn't going in.

They didn't need to sneak a look at house pics last year. They could just tune in to CBB which ran for 3 weeks prior to the proper show launch.

Though Mark still managed to be overawed by the egg-shaped bath.

you always have to get your police check yourself it could be that bb fobed your brother off with they would get it but for sum reason they want your brother as a stand in so contacted him to get the police check as they cant do it.

no hes telling the truth, I was in the final shortlist both last and this year. Last year we had to do the police checks ourselves from the off, but this year was told BB would be sorting the police checks themselves, and got the same call saying things have changed and we now had to do it, same for two other members on here I've been in contact with.

That being said, there has been contact with Big Brother since then, and the housemates are more than likely chosen, and the producers can once again go **** themselves. :-)

I'd agree. BigBrotherxtra is not reliable and it would be too soon for the trial HMs to be in.

Last year's trial housemates went in on Sunday August 7th with CBB launching 11 days later. If this year's trial HMs go in this Sunday (27th May) that would be on schedule for a June 7th launch, give or take a day or two or three.

Not sure when the most recent CBB launched but we went in for the guinea pig run on the 19th December. Then again, with christmas in the way that might be an un-usual time frame.
