Why aren't housemates names ever spelled normely?

I think you mean normally not how you spelled it. Sorry, couldn't let it go. Thought it was a bit ironic in a post about spelling.

As regards people's names I think their parents or maybe themselves if they've changed the spelling themselves via deed poll etc do it so as they appear more interesting as people.

Sometimes it can be because their parents can't spell though and I'm sure the vicar or whoever sees the birth certificate will be too polite to mention they've spelled the name incorrectly.

I know your's was a mistake by the way.

But couldn't let it go just had to have a laugh with it no offence.

But there a lot of British people we know that that are v poor with the English language.

Barely anyone uses ly on adverbs now and I really hate that (my pet hate) because ly words often describe beautiful or creative things so bastardizing or Americanizing it (because that is what's going on) by dropping the ly's on every one takes away the sound and the beauty of what someone is trying to describe a lot of the time.

I don't think spelling somebody's first or forename differently makes them any more interesting though. There is no substitute for genuine character or persoanlity IMHO

Yeah this is what I thought too. I had a girl called Ashleigh in my grade and it was spelt in the exact same way.

The spelling of "Arron" annoys me most because it seems pretty pointless, I can understand Shievonne because it's spelled phonetically and it serves a purpose to spell it that way rather than Siobhan and Ashleigh spells her name the way I would have spelled it anyway
