Just seemd like since cbb5 ratings just kept dropping:/, just gutting when you see how many people actually watched it pre cbb5! Spose bb8 didn't help it aswell since it was a **** series :/ don't think bb will ever get over 2m again

It wasnt just Jade who was to blame i hate people saying that. Danielle Lloyd and Jack Tweed were far worse. Jack called Shilpa a p@ki and Danielle said she should **** off home.

Jade took all the blame and Danielle went on to enjoy fame.

Cbb5 was a **** series overall anyway.

Clan Goody were just about the most repellent set of people ever to appear on a UK TV series - who can forget the repugnant sight of Tweed "spurting" like a dog over Goody's fat leg .....

Jade and Jo took most of the blame iirc, Jade was the most famous at the time which was why she took most of the flak for it, comes with the territory and just because it was not only her doing it, does not make her innocent.

Yes it did, after the amazing BB5, BB6, CBB4 and BB7 Big brother was at it's very best but this unfortunately destroyed it and clearly showed that it was the beginning of the end.

I must say they really did step it up for BB9 though

I think if BB9 had followed BB7 then it would have kept steady ratings but BB8 was the nail in the coffin.

Agreed, I think people forgot how badly CBB5 did BEFORE the race row compared to other series. I think it was at around 3.4m (down from the 4.7m of BB7 just before). It seemed people didnt like Goody and her family in there. It was only when it hit the papers that ratings increased to 5m, them 6m and then 8.8m for Jade's eviction. It then fell to around 4m after. So that is what it did it.

Exactly ..... the original CHMs had just settled in when Goody, Tweedy and Budden swan in to become "lords of the manor" over 8 of the CHMs - exit Donny followed shortly by Ken - next thing we know, Goody's bliddy grandparents are coming in ..... it's become the Goody Show with the foul-mouthed harridans of mother and daughter as "stars" - luckily the latter was soon booted, but by then, Goody had formed her bullying "posse" and a nasty lot they were .....

I stiil think that there should have been a lynch-m.., oops, crowd for Goody's eviction, to let her know how much she was hated .....

I never thought Jade was a racist, it was just the way she raised her voice that made her look the worst. Of course her behavior was still inexcusable, but I thought some of the things the other housemates said, as pointed out above, like Danielle and Jack were much worse. Danielle said things like "She can't even speak english properly" and to "**** off home". THAT is racist.

I think CBB5 did contribute to the downfall of the show, many began to view the show as cruel and consequently it became "chavvy" or "unpopular" to follow the show. I think the other contributing factor was BB8's disasterous launch and its all girl twist, which meant Gay Men and Women had not got anything to drool over, and straight men found the show to be to feminine considering the amount of women in the show.

You can have your opinion on her actions, but the fact still stands it was quite a while ago and she has since died. Having respect for someone who has died isn't out of the question, otherwise it just makes you seem very pathetic.

Jade's main fault was an extremely short temper and a huge clash of classes with Shilpa. All the others added fuel to the fire.
