It has been brought up several times now, Big Brother isn't strict anymore.

But I think it's a joke that anyone can talk like this about another HM and go unpunished.

Yeah because using the word ***** is so much worse than saying you will punch someone in the face.

So, using the word in a friendly context, with no harm or offence intended, is worse than threatening to sexually violate and punch someone?

Who remembers back in BB1 when Nick got chucked out for writing peoples names down on a piece of paper? now we're having disgusting pricks like this beast being able to threaten to beat up and rape a woman.

Alexandria got thrown out for threats, and hers were not as direct as Conors, she just made 'warnings'.

Conor physically threatened Deana and if BB should either punish him further or throw him out, what he did was disgusting and he needs to see how vile because right now he does not see it.

it's charming and forgiveable when an Irish white guy threatens to batter a woman, but when a black woman says she "knows people" that's some serious shit.

I'm not saying the British public are racist. I think Big Brother viewers are largely dense and likely to forgive semi-attractive men of just about anything. Plus the hypersensitivity of post-Jade Goody Big Brother seems to have died down.

I think a large amount of the criticism Conor's receiving is probably driven by frustration at his prior non-presence in the house. Maybe there's a sense of opportunism here to get him ejected, since aside from this he's really done nothing at all. But that really shouldn't overshadow a clear, violent threat to a housemate.

You guys are free to disagree with me, but I think Alex's comments were more threatening than Conor's. I'm a woman and I found her comments a lot more threatening that Conor. It was not just once either and she had been warned several times.

I'm not trying to excuse Conor as I found his comments vile and deplorable, but it sounded like some total idiot just trying to sound like a tough guy and going too far. He's been warned, let's see what happens next.

What Conor said was totally OTT and completely unacceptable and he NEEDS to be punished for it. That he ever entertained those thoughts is frightening and I am somewhat surprised that it was shown.

In the context of previous offenses it was of course much worse than cheating on nominations or using an offensive word in a playful manner.

Thinly veiled threats to someone's LIFE however.... Telling someone you obviously have contempt for that you 'know people' or 'pow pow' is blatant psychological terrorism AT BEST. Such behaviour is equally as in-excusable. In my book threatening to KILL someone is at least as bad as threatening to rape them with a hairbrush and punch them in the face. Both acts are vile.

I am not fully aware of the context of the life threats but if there was a major beef between the two people the threatener fully deserved a criminal conviction, nevermind ejection from the house.

Or they've been hiding this part of him before. We are very limited in what we are shown.

What bothered me about Conor's rant wasn't just the words, but his attitude when he was called into the diary room. Am I the only one who saw it as him thinking "it's Deana's fault I had to say those things and it's Deana's fault I'm getting lectured for saying the things she made me say"? His excuse of it being "only" anger is not taking responsibility - it's shifting the responsibility to the person he blames for the anger.

To be honest we have not seen enough of Conor's behaviour to tell whether he is lying here or what exactly his body language indicates. It's obvious that Lydia, Arron, Caroline and Ashleigh are all perfectly capable of putting on an act. They have all been shown to say something to someone's face and another thing behind their back etc. We have not seen Conor being caught lying to anyone.

To me his behaviour when talking to Lauren seemed regretful and genuine to me. About what is not 100% certain. An old piece of poker wisdom goes: when a new player represents a hand for the first time you have to give them credit for it. With the amount of information we have on Conor he is still very much a 'new player'.

What exactly he means by attributing it to anger is also unclear. Personally I believe he means he would never say such things with an even head.

I really wish BB.com would post up a few rambling chats just so we could get more context on the people in the house. Live feeds of course would solve a lot of problems but I would be bored to tearswith lots of nothing going on. Or super frustrated at all the inserted birdsong.

What he said was out of order... but it wasn't worse than Alex. For starters the person he was talking about remains unaware of what he said. She didn't hear him and tbh those three lads say alot to 'impress' each other. Like Aaron and his desperate attempt to be blokey. Alex not only boasted she knew gang members but also directed the threatening comment directly at the person involved and suggested something would happen after the show. Connor was just being a vile piece of s*** and not thinking... there is a difference

No, but that still doesn't excuse the severity of what he actually said, which were threats if they were idle or not.
