In this weeks Heat there is a two page spread about BB3.
------------------------------------ Big Brother: Only six more weeks to go! It's been a long cold lonely winter - but the end is in sight. Yes, in the second half of May the all-consuming televisual experience that is Big Brother will start again and we can all stop pretending we have lives and stuff and get on with feeding our obsession. But before you start making a calendar to count down the days, there are questions that need answering. Who'll present it? Have the housemates already been chosen? Will there be chickens? Heat has taclked all possible FAQ's and rest assured, as always, we'll be keeping you up to date with every cough, splutter, argument and flirt that goes on in the house once BB3 finally kicks off. The presenters: Who could be a betterBB presenter than Davina? Who would get more excited, be more genuinely interested and put the freaked-out housemates more at ease when they come out of the house? No one. Which is exactly why Davina will present BB3. Big Brother's Little Brother on E4 will once again be put in the capable hands of Dermot O'Leary. The show: Each show will open with the Paul Oakenfold theme tune. But will it be re-mixed so it sounds exactly the same, like it was for BB2? The BB team are being very cagey about the exact details of the show - and it's obvious why. If we'd have known in advance that an extra housemate would enter the house, it wouldn't have been half as exciting as it was when Josh turned up. And the eviction of Elizabeth the night before the final was a touch of genius that worked best as a shock - for the housemates and the viewers. Davina has told Heat that "the show's not going to be too radically different", although we can probably rest assured that there will be a few twists and turns to keep us hooked. The house: Big Brother has left its original location in East London for Elstree Studios, which is where EastEnders is filmed. the house isn't complete yet but is said to be very similar to the Big Brother 2 house except that there's a big staircase over the diary room, leading to the outside world. There are rumours that, once the evictee is announced, this is how they will leave the house. but as yet this has not been confirmed. As Davina told Heat exclusively last month, there is no 'love-loft' but old faves like the hot-tub, the chickens and the dormitory-style bedrooms will all return. The furniture has started to arrive in Elstree - apart from the Diary Room chair, which the producers are having a bit of trouble choosing. The contestants: Over 150,000 people applied for Big Brother 3 - in just 2 days the production team received more video applications than in the entire period last year. Potential contestants who were shortlisted were invited to interviews where they played a series of bizarre games to help producers whittle out the Brians from the Stuarts. First the hopefuls had to jump over a broomstick and introduce themselves. Next up was a physical challenge - the wannabes stood in a line and had to pass a Polo from person to person without using their hands, just a straw. Then they all sat on the floor and rolled a dice - the number they got was the number of probing questions the rest of the group was allowed to ask them. After they were whittled down further still in the coming weeks, the contestants will face in-depth psychological questioning to find out whether they will be able to cope with the BB experience. After all they don't want anyone doing a 'Vanessa Feltz'. The lucky contestants won't find out they have been successful until as close as possible to the date they actually go into the house. ------------------------------ |

Ooooh. I'm impressed they've managed to write so much without actually telling us anything of note. They know how to keep us guessing.
Three cheers for Davina and Dermot coming back! Hurrah. |

We do know now that there won't be a love loft! I think that's a shame, it was quite a nice idea

I'm really pleased Dermot is doing BBLB again. i thought he was really good at it. I heard rumours that he wouldn't do it again but he must have been bitten by the Big Bro bug too.!!

I'm surprised too there is not going to be a 'James Bond Love Shack' - thought that would be the first thing on the plans.
Am getting quite excited now - stocking up on tapes but remember guys - I don't have access to E4 so will be relying on all of you who have, to keep us poor relations up to date with stuff we don't see on CH4. |
