And heck, if you ever find your desktop looking outdated, there's always rainmeter, which can make your Windows 7 desktop look like this (among many other things)
Wow I had no idea of that rainmeter thing

Macs/Macbooks sell for one reason: They look nice, but it a laptop that 'looks nice' really worth more money than a more functional laptop? People just want Macs because they see those movie heros using them, well done, you fell for product placement, good job.

Hell, the fact that a large range of Microsoft users are still using a decade old operating system says everything about the longetivity of Microsoft's tech vs Apple's tech.
Thats hardly the reason at all.

So many people are stuck on XP, not because of its longevity, but because the mess that was Vista scared so many people away from upgrading. People remained with an older operating system over the new one because of how poor it was. Users even downgraded from Vista! Doesn't that say something about the quality of Microsoft's computing products?

I switched to Mac not because of product placement, but because I was sick of all the **** you got with Windows. All I'd ever known with that terrible OS was slowness and terrible performance. I abhorred the way the software worked too because I found them so clunky. I wanted a computer that would be relatively free from all those problems, and thus far my Mac has been.

I just hate Windows okay I wouldn't ever switch back even if you paid me.

But backwards Vista uses far to much memory
And you are right
to never go back to Fecked Up Bill Gates Windows.

Clever of Apple to start production on a smaller Ipad
of around £139 7" approx size
to match the Google and Microsoft mini tablets.

If you are incapable of carrying out the most basic of maintainence and repair jobs of your own equipment then you are probably better off with a mac but dont let the fact that for the price of a macbook pro with the i7 processor you could buy 5-6 laptops of around the same specification for the same price cloud your judgement.
Apple fans never cease to amaze.

I've never had to get either of my laptops repaired? I've had one for nearly 2 years and its still working perfectly. Apples quite exaggerated...

I don't plan on smashing my Windows laptop with a mallet any time soon, so it shouldn't need repairing for quite a while.
