Default Slebs versus 'real people'
Somehow I don't feel as excited by the celebrity BB as the normal one. I am pretty unfazed about any of them going or staying. even though the HMs are fairly entertaining I don't feel particularly engaged by any of them.

Even the ones who aren't actually very famous all have a public image they have honed and toned over the years. They are all pretty good at acting and speaking in line with this image so there are fewer surprises and less mysteries to uncover. even the dreaded Jasmine was just delivering her 'bad girl' image. Does anyone else feel that the series is kind of 'flat'?

Yes, I really don't like it at all.. All the quiz shows have been hijacked by zelebs too

I just get emotionally attatched to people very easily, even if I don't know them irl.

This - I like them both though for different reasons - it's quite nice seeing how celebs deal with the house and if their personas slip but the time is short and you can't buy into them. The normal BB is good because its with people that you have no preconceptions about - both offer different things for me.

It's because I know it's just 3 weeks and they're gone. With the normal BB you're keeping them in to hopefully see them for many more weeks to come, and I let myself get more attached.

Celebrity culture has killed TV. They've usurped every gameshow going, and non-celebs have been left with humiliating, melodramatic or nonsensical alternatives (Total Wipeout, Deal or No Deal, Red or Black, MPD). Or shows that hardly pay anything (Pointless, Eggheads).

I don't care. I just don't care about the majority of what the UK calls celebrities.

I dont mind either, some CBBs are very good....this one is so far a major disappointment, to many "celebs" who are mindful how they will come across and therefore are not doing or saying anything of interest.
