...would Rage Against The Machine have still gone to #1? Do you reckon it was down to the winner that RATM sold more or do you think the campaign was so big it was going to beat the winner regardless of who it was?
I bought RATM out of spite because I loved Stacey/Olly and really disliked Joe, so I would've bought the winner single had someone else won. But I'm unsure if overall the result would've been different. Apologies if this has been made before, which it probably has, but I thought of it earlier when looking through previous winners. |

You disliked Joe? Why weren't you here in 2009 I was all on my own!!!
But yeah no I think it would've got #1 regardless, the campaign was so strong and people were tired of constant X Factor christmas #1s...do think Joe winning made it easier though

Joe was appalling, did he actually have support on here? He was so painfully average and I remember when about 6 remained everyone got behind him because he was the dark horse and my beloved Stacey only got 3rd even though I voted her > 10 times

I think so, it was just a general anti-X Factor campaign where I don't think it mattered really who the actual winner was
Mind you Olly has been a lot more successful than Joe since so maybe he'd have had more of a chance Last edited by MTVN; 07-10-2012 at 06:32 PM. |

sure, the Killing in the Name is a much better song than any of those three could hope to produce

I wish Stacey had won, she might have a singing career now instead of appearing on trashy terrible TV programmes. |

Yes for sure, it was an anti xfactor campaign so no matter who won rage still would of been #1

The best 4 didn't even make the final in XF6..
But yeah, it was an anti-X Factor campaign, it'd have always been #1 |
