Well this year he has been. Otherwise he wouldn't be the ITU World Champion

Both Alistair & Jonny have had their fair of success this year, and Jonny even claims that winning at the Olympics is far greater than what he won, but that shouldn't be taken away from him, he's still incredibly talented.
