I think there might be a singoff next week and in the semis too...they want rid of Christopher. When they wanted to make sure Cher made the final they introduced a singoff in the semi final, this is the same thing really. With this in mind

Yeah, the rule until series 7 always was that with five acts left (the quarter-final) it went to the public vote only. This changed in 2010 with a sing-off in both the quarter and semi-final, but last year only in the quarter (Misha B came fourth in the semi on fewest votes).

Will be interesting this year to see what happens.
