A lot people moaning about the lack of publicity!

Have you thought that the following could be possible!

They are saving on advertising money to pay celeb fees!?

IF Lindsey Lohan goes in tomorrow word of mouth alone will be enough to bring in the viewers!

What they dont spend on advertising could land them one of the most lucrative CELEBS theyve ever had in there

Going for the big names rather than spending hundreds of thousands on advertising ensures that this season advertises itself!

Theyre relying on word of mouth

Daniel so they dont get 4 million views tommorow big woop. They can afford to only have 1.5 million watching the launch if word of mouth ensures that 5-6 million tune in to episode 2!

Its tactics!

You honestly think Channel 5 would risk that? Its not as if they can afford the bad publicity of BB flopping.

Daniel you evidently don't understand advertising or advertising tactics!

What would be the point spending a million quid on advertising campaign and putting Timmy Mallet in the house

People would tune in in their droves to the launch, not like what they see and the viewership would half over night!

By doing this and POTENTIALLY getting someone like Lohan the viewership is almost guaranteed!

She would garner a LOT of press interest and the papers would be all over it for weeks, until shes evicted etc!

Viewership longevity is what is required!

Theyve advertised it a bit, enough people know its on to get the ball rolling

Then by wheeling out a MEGA famous column grabbing star Like Lohan word of mouth will bring them flocking!

Channel 4 and CBB were always accused of sending in Z LISTERS

From what ive seen of cH5 CBB so far theyre really pushing the boat out in terms of casting, its been amazing so far

I don't think that it would get 5-6 million after launch regardless who went in. I agree with Daniel, pointless thread.

I must say they usually have a BIG NAME eg. The Situation, Michael Madsen kinda deal and the only BIG NAMES rumoured have been Meatloaf and Lindsay, one of them has to go in

No way it will rise in a Friday night slot regardless who goes in. Unless it absolutely bombs but its pretty much guaranteed at least 3m

Noone can rely on word of mouth that is not a good source when advertising the Channels flagship show.

Imagine they had done no advertising and then their big name dropped out last minute?

You think they would put all their faith into word of mouth.

I mean they have been a few posters and billboards but they aren't even advertising every ad break on their channel! I've seen more adverts for Ken Dodd and 50 diet tips that their biggest show!

I found out last week it was starting when I was looking through programme listings. I've been watching BB from the beginning and haven't seen any adverts for CBB13.

Hopefully Jim Davidson being picked up by police will advertise the programme
