On me phone right now so I can't post the ratings in full yet but EastEnders could only muster 7.8m (34%) and 6.7m (29%).

I know this thread hasn't been used for almost a year but now may be the best time to start using it again, I guess.

No idea how all the other soaps held up last night but Corrie had over 7.4 million for both installments, way ahead of the royal baby arrival, which had 4.9m/22.2%.

Friday 26 July
Spoiler: As a trivial matter, it's concerning to see EastEnders slipping into the fives, with even Emmerdale doing better than it. The share in particular at 29% is absolutely abysmal.

To be fair, it's the middle of a heatwave summer (and even then so many people are on holiday). What's really important right now is the proportion of people watching, i.e. the audience share. 35% is reasonable for them.

Spoiler: Pretty poor for EastEnders, considering they had the car crash yesterday. |

Thursday 5 September 2013
BBC 1 19.30 - EastEnders - 6.89 million (35.4%) 20.00 - Waterloo Road - 3.28 million (15.8%) ITV 1 19.00 - Emmerdale - 6.40 million (34.5%)/6.57 million (35.3%) 20.00 - Emmerdale - 5.76 million (27.9%)/6.04 million (29.2%) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good to see EastEnders maintaining its exact audience and share all week, but the fact that it can't even reach 7 million at this time of year is disappointing, especially given what's happened this week. Dire. |

Yesterday's Corrie nabbed 7.42m (32.7%) on ITV, with a further 427k (1.7%) on +1; total = 7.85m (34.4%).

Monday 9 September 2013
ITV 1 19.00 - Emmerdale - 7.04 million (36.7%)/7.14 million (37.2%) 19.30 - Coronation Street - 9.06 million (42.8%)/9.18 million (43.4%) 20.00 - Coronation Street - 8.82 million (38.8%)/8.98 million (39.5%) BBC 1 20.00 - EastEnders - 7.04 million (31.9%) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another horrific rating for EE but Corrie and Emmerdale are holding up pretty well.
