Now then, as all of us BB fans knows, how we look back and remember a housemate often is more significant than what we think about that them in the present.
With this in mind then, how will Sophie be remembered as a housemate now she has exited? tbh I have often thought that Sophie was quite underrated, she went in as the sort of housemate who would cruise through to the final by just being 'nice' and endearing herself to the public with her harmless dopiness. Yet there was a bit more to her than that, she often went off on a rant and confronted various people, even if they were the biggest characters in the house like Dexter and Dan, it didn't seem like their outside popularity bothered her that much. The whole thing with Sam was stupid from the start, and he was responsible for making a bigger deal out of it than was needed, relaying all their private conversations from the safe house to make Sophie look like a bitch, which was something she picked up on and rightly slated him for it. Sophie was an interesting housemate, in that she never really shied away from controversy or from being argumentative, yet at the same time she remained really popular inside the house despite often bitching about a lot of them etc. and you could say she did very well to get herself to the final and was only really screwed over by that twist So yes, while writing this I have decided that Sophie in reality was a very good housemate and didn't deserve to be evicted, what a pity |

I didn't find her particularly entertaining.

Have a feeling that in a decades time people will be talking about Sophie as the defining housemate of BB14, while Sam will be forgotten

I feel that Sophie's downfall was Gina. That bee task, it was like Soph was her lackey. Soph's good traits seem to evaporate in Gina's presence and she came across as kinda sycophantic.
But yep she had potential and could easily have won a different year of BB. |

I think its because she changed her vote that's why people really turned on her. She wasn't so great but she wasn't a horrid housemate neither was she the greatest bore.

I'm not even being facetious, when Sophie was shown she was actually funny and a good UTRfun character. She and Charlie are the only ones that I never wavered on so that says something.

Certainly don't think she deserved to go tonight - would have preferred Sam or the Twins....
She didn't really do all that much though - when she was pissed off, a lot of the time she was quite funny. But she was just...meh. I thought she was one of the contenders to win, so at least that's made things a bit more interesting.

unfortunately I won't forget Sam I don't think as I will remember him like I remember Cameron. He has stuck out in my mind as being the most boring housemate ever who went on to win and should Sam win he will be up there with Cameron.

I liked that she was quite ordinary – a number of BB fans have long wanted the civilian version of the show to feature less actors, less models and move away from media motivated types in general. Yes, Sophie may have dreams of singing… but she has a nice little range of basic skills, and from the conversations that I heard, quite realistic ambitions.
Sadly, BB is not geared to accommodate such ordinariness – and I don’t believe viewers particularly want to watch ordinariness – for many Sophie only represents the boring, deadwood, radar dodger – terms I tend not to use in reference towards any housemate. I think it’s clear that her strengths, skills and overall demeanour - that made her so popular within the group - were never likely to light up the HL show. Listening to Charlie rattling away about Dexter on LF last night; this housemate told me he said this, at least 4 housemates told me he said that… it becomes apparent that the gossiping Sophie has been hung out to dry for is far from a crime that she is exclusively guilty of committing (they all do it). I hope Sophie is remembered as the girl that played a good game and was robbed of a place in the final by a cruel twist – unfortunately I think she will be remembered as a gossip, stirrer and bore that didn’t deserve a place in the final. |

do you know, I was quite surprised at myself last night because I felt a bit bad for her going, she could be a bugger at times but I didn't really dislike her. Didn't she look lovely last night too, I hope she gets some kind of modelling contract, she has a beautiful face.

In may ways it was good that Sophie was chosen to go into the house. I agree that she represented an ordinary girl inasmuch as she did have achievable aspirations and did not push herself forward to compete for power in the house. This made her her someone for the general public to identify with and a very good counterpoint to the stronger characters in the house. She might possibly be the last remnant of the earlier type of Channel 4 BB HM. I think she gave herself a job (looking after the housemate's grooming) when she went in and that carried her through. It saved her having to stare vacuously into space or sleep a lot whilst she was in there. She made sure she was occupied most of the time - which is an excellent way to stave off boredom and unnecessary introspection. I was struck by how quickly the other HM's bypassed her eviction with talk about themselves immediately after she left. |

Sophie = snidey, sly, boring and bitchy. A completely pointless housemate.

I'm not sure what I think of her looking back to be honest. The one thing I do know is that I don't think she deserved to be evicted last night or to be booed the way she was, it was ridiculous.

I actually forgot sophie when she was in there....I just don't recall who she is , what she stands for, she was just a fickle forgettable spineless womewhat spiteful unoriginal person
the titanic battle is now on between dexter, sam and gina the twins will think they have it in the bag because they were saved first, but that's an illusion as dextorians an ginagians all voted to evict their biggest threat, the welsh wizard samoses these 3 are very strong characters, 2 are total frauds, 1 is the real deal joke machine if you want an actor or actress to win vote dexter or gina, if you want the real deal to win then you back the man sam |
