They did this in 2010 for the last World Cup but we did then get the next series five months later in its regular April/May launch so

Assuming X Factor is still on both finales could very well go up against each other

yeah i remember one year the final being on at about christmas time so it will prob be the same next year. Which I dont mind because its something mid week to watch in the winter b

Those two series were flawless, X Factor had its best series too during those months. It was such an amazing period for reality tv shows, except for BB of course

Hopefully this is a sign, since this years X Factor is obviously ghastly like S6 (besides Rachel Adegodji of course), next years should be amazing like S7.

When every night for nearly a month there will be a football match on BBC1/ITV there's not really much they can do and even if they put it on BBC2 it would still get terrible ratings because alot of the audience'd be watching the WC, so it only really makes sense
