Rory's Tutorials: 01
Name of Tutorial: BB6 Level of Difficulty (1-10): 4 Required Software: Photoshop (CS2 Is what I have) Final Result: NOTICE This may only be for Photoshop users. Each tutorial is different, Tutorial! 01. First gather your images. I'd say four for a banner is just enough. Anymore than that, it will be crowded and any less, you'll probably have too much room. However, if you do want to use three you can do an off-to-the-side text. We'll deal with that in another tutorial. I've got mine of Vanessa, Anthony, Orlaith, and Mary. I also have one of the house, which we will use later. 02. Now create a new document in Photoshop and put the dimensions 500 x 150. Then, paste the images onto there (EXCEPT for the house image) and resize them so that you can see everyone clearly using the transform tool (CTRL + T) From there, (using the erase tool) erase the white edges on the sides of the housemates so that you can see all of the housemates full faces. 03. Alright, now that you have all of your layers in, merge them all together (layer >> merge visible). then, duplicate the image by going to LAYER >> duplicate layer. Then, go over to the blending modes panel and change the blending mode to screen 100% 04. From there, create a new layer by going to layer >> new >> layer and fill it with a nice vibrant magenta color (I used ff0090), and set that layer to LIGHTEN 05. Alright, from here merge all of the layers again and duplicate the image again. desaturate the image by going to IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS >> DESATURATE. Set the duplicate layer's blending mode to OVERLAY 100% 06. Alright, now copy your image of the house and paste it onto the banner. transform it so that it still is in proportion with it's original image, but big enough to cover the entire image 07. From there, set it to lighten 50% 08. Now, merge, duplicate, desaturate, and set the duplicate layer to multiply 100% 09. from there, get a dark grey layer and set it to soft light 100% [img]http://i12.tinypic.com/2unwsw2.jpg/img] 10. Finally, merge the layers and duplicate the image. set the duplicate layer on Hard Light, and add a gaussian blur to the duplicate layer. 11. Then, just add text of your choice. Sorry if this tutorial wasn't clear! If you have any questions please ask me in this thread. |
