is this a yearly average? If so then EastEnders 2007-2009 deserve higher than 2010 & 11

Also, there were weekly clashes with Emmerdale those years, which slightly depressed those averages. Granted the two clashed before this period but not as often and both soaps performed very well in those years. 2006 represents the beginning of the end for them in terms of ratings. Official Ratings (Dec 23rd - Dec 29th)
This includes catch up/on demand, sky+ recordings etc. Eastenders Monday: 7.95 Tuesday: 8.52 Wednesday (Christmas Day): 9.36 Thursday (Boxing Day): 8.37 Friday: 9.19 Coronation Street Monday First Half: 8.32 Monday Second Half: 7.92 Wednesday (Christmas Day): 8.54 Friday: 8.39 Friday Second Half: 8.03 Emmerdale Monday: 6.37 Tuesday: 6.18 Wednesday (Christmas Day): 5.97 Thursday (Boxing Day): 5.45 Friday: 6.67 Highest Rated: Eastenders Lowest Rated: Emmerdale - really bad Christmas/Boxing day ratings Special achievements: Eastenders rightfully gaining their spot back as the most watched soap throughout the Christmas week. Coronation Street may have beaten Eastenders on Christmas Day in the overnight ratings but officially it didn't stand a chance. Next week is going to be very interesting to see if Eastenders will remain on top |

Official Ratings (Jan 6th - Jan 12th)
This includes catch up/on demand, sky+ recordings etc. Eastenders Monday: 8.91 Tuesday: 8.46 Wednesday: 7.49 Thursday: 8.12 Friday: 7.87 Coronation Street Monday First Half: 8.86 Monday Second Half: 8.56 Wednesday: 8.30 Friday First Half: 8.12 Friday Second Half: 7.82 Emmerdale Monday: 7.14 Tuesday: 6.96 Wednesday: 6.79 Thursday First Half: 6.70 Thursday Second Half: 7.02 Friday: 6.54 Highest Rated: Coronation Street (Eastenders is very close behind) Lowest Rated: Emmerdale - Although they had a good week Special achievements: The cancer storyline in coronation street will be coming to an end today and imo it's been played very well and I might cry tonight . In terms of entertainment Eastenders is definitely the best soap right now, each household has an interesting storyline and there isn't any filler scenes as oppose to last year and the year before. Emmerdale's ratings are also back on the rise. |

off topic but i'm so glad they put dancing on ice out of it's misery by axing it. I was just looking at their ratings since the show started and they used to get around the 10m mark each episode and their finales got 11-12million. to think that they are scraping 5 million (not even that) is so embarrassing, talk about fall from grace!
bye DOI you will be missed (literally only used to watch it to see if anyone would fall over and die on national tv) Last edited by Gstar; 03-02-2014 at 04:19 PM. |
