I know this... Except if there wasn't as many people buying fast food there wouldn't be the need for as intensively farmed meats maybe?
Then standards/ quality might improve?

But do these intensely farmed meats only go to fast food outlets or do they make up a portion of the meat available in the supermarket?

That's what I meant by food from your home not necessarily being better produce than what's served up in fast food places.

It may or may not be, My only point was the possible improvement in standards if the demand wasn't so great. That's the theory anyway

Life In The Fast Lane
Err... I think this is probably medically dubious .

Scratch that, I'm 100% sure it's nonsense. If you want energy to get you through the day, fast food is the last thing you want... It'll make you lethargic.

Ideally you should eat something light but high energy, like nuts, a high protein salad or fruit.

Loading up on starchy fast food carbs at lunch time is an awful idea.

The hot food you get at fast food venues isn't going to give you energy for the day...

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy fast food every now and then (OK, OK... We end up in KFC every Wednesday night after my daughter's dance class...) but it's not "good fuel" for a working body / mind. I'd never have fast food for lunch. Raw nuts would be a much better "life in the fast lane" choice. Preparation time: zero!

I have chickens and it's heartbreaking when one dies, It sounds like I'm going crazy, but, every chicken has it's own personality like a dog or cat would, so they should have a memorial.

Nah, no memorial...a ruddy big BBQ rather.

I don't mean to traumatise you but... 803 MILLION chickens are slaughtered for food every year. Just in the UK. That's the actual figure.

...

I think holding a memorial service for 1500 of those little personalities may fall under the heading of "piss in the ocean"...

LOL, I just looked up the global annual figure.

It's... 49 billion. 49 billion chickens are eaten every year. That's actually mind boggling

I'm all for animals being treated better, I love them, but honestly these people just make a sodding mockery of better treatment for animals with crazy crap like this.

Police are investigating this crash, rumour has it that they suspect fowl play.
