Not even 3%, just a select few but they tend to be trolls that people pay minimal attention to

And from experience of multiple BB's here, people get very heated in the moment when name-calling and it's all housemates, regardless of age, colour, gender, sexuality etc. I'm guilty of it

I think those who play the racism card can obscure the very real damage that racism causes. To my mind, claiming racism where none exists is as bad as not challenging racism when it does occur.

Exactly.

If people were talking about nice Marlon in the same way they talked about horrible Pauline then one might question it.

But everyone seems to recoil from Pauline's intense egotism (quite rightly) and everyone seems to warm to Marlon's easy going nature (quite rightly).

For viewers watching the show, the housemate's race is no more relevant than their height. It's all about the person.

Also, Jale seems to have some substantial support on this forum. I would take a bet that by birth Jale is of a different race, given her name, yet I don't detect an outpouring of hatred for her, which kind of quashes the 'racism' card. It has to be more about Pauline's vitriolic claptrap than anything remotely racial.
