Default RI:SE to be first with info re BB3

According to this, we'll all need to tune in to RI:SE every morning for the latest news on BB3!

Pay attention all you earlybirds - I'll be relying on you for all the gossip. I'm afraid I'm not a morning person at all.

Channel 4's new breakfast show RI:SE is to be a sofa-free zone and have no opening or closing credits.

Producers say it will reflect the idea of viewers dipping in and out of the programme.

The new show, which is presented by Mark Durden-Smith and Kirsty Gallacher, launches on Monday April 29.

They will be joined by regular co-hosts Edith Bowman, Colin Murray, Chris Rogers, Liz Bonnin, Henry Bonsu.

The presenters will each have hand-held email devices called "blackberries" which allow viewers to contact them directly.

Breaking news headlines and weather reports will be flashed along the bottom of the screen.

Producers say the programme will also be the first with information about Big Brother 3.

RI:SE is a permanent replacement for the Big Breakfast, which ended last month after a fall in ratings.

Its no Big Breakfast!

They keep repeating things all the way through, so you cant really watch the whole programme like you could with the Big Breakfast!

I havent heard them say anything about BB3 yet!

I hope RI:SE is up to the challenge!
Ive started reading Heat and maybe reduced to ordering it........How sad it that!
I just hope the old laptop lasts the season, although I've compromised my principles and have orders Sky for digital E4 as well.........It had better be worth it!!!!!!!: colour:

It may be the first with the news, but if the last couple of mornings are anything to go by, I will not be watching! It was like watching paint dry.

OK, I've seen snippets of this twice, and it has some way to go I'm afraid.

Several problems are inherent in the set up:

The bloke that looks so eerily like his mum it makes me shudder

The fact that they keep looking at the wrong cameras all the time

Edith Bowman looks rough, like she has a bad set of choppers

Kirsty Gallagher already copped out this morning

Oooh, and one last thing................

ITS REALLY, REALLY DULL. reminds me of Newsround without the cheeriness.

Even if they get the BB news, they'll kill it at this rate. And as for interviewing evictees- dire I would think. How would they enter into the japes they did with Paul re: Big G sightings for instance?

let's hope they can spice it up a bit!

I've been trying to watch it a bit this week too, and I do agree it's really really bad, at the moment. The format is very static, the presenters talk over each other and, as ROB said, constantly look at the wrong cameras, and appear petrified much of the time. There is no spontaneity or rapport between the presenters and I really think the whole thing looks thrown together in a hurry.

I gave RI:SE another try today and it did seem to be improving, especially when they got Davina on the phone talking about BB3. She only confirmed everything that we already knew. The housemates will have to give good reasons for nominations or they will get a warning, three warnings and they'll be evicted. There are 12 housemates because there are going to be lots of surprises, although there is a double bed they are not expecting sex (oh yeah) but if it happens it will be screened, though probably not on the live streaming. The only snippet of information which I hadn't heard meantioned before was that to leave the house the housemates will have to go upstairs, which sounds interesting.

Afterwards the presenters emphasised that they are going to devote a lot of attention to BB throughout the run of the programme. So, it looks like we better try to get used to RI:SE
