Default X Factor star Ten Senah in £48m lottery riddle

Quote:
X FACTOR wannabe Ten Senah was duped into believing she’d won a £48m lottery jackpot after buying a fake ticket that had the winning numbers on it.

When singer tried to claim her bumper prize with the ticket, Euromillions bosses refused to pay out, insisting it was not genuine.

After she then confronted the shopkeeper from where she bought the ticket, it turned out the numbers had been stuck on with glue, leading to a riddle as to who was behind the ticket tampering.

“I’m numb, I was planning the house, the car, everything,” Ten told The Sun. “Nothing prepares you for that moment — and then to have it taken away again, it’s the cruellest thing in the world.”

She added: “There’s no way any of my friends would have got into my bag. I kept the ticket in my diary, really safe. I had no idea how this would have happened.

“It’s the real ticket, that’s it — why would I have gone to Camelot and gone to the guy in the shop if I didn’t truly believe I had won?”

She added: “I know it’s totally crazy, I couldn’t believe it myself.

A letter from lottery bosses at Camelot said: “I can confirm that this ticket is not a winning one.

“During the validation procedure... your ticket failed company security checks.

“I would also mention that there were no jackpot-winning tickets that matched all five numbers and both Lucky Stars on Friday, May 23.”
