Would imagine Beckham's wages are sky high.

There was a bug in FM11 where players no where near world class demanded huge wages. Joey Barton wanted £200,000 off me.

who would you all say is your teams' best signing(s)? I just signed a chap called George Thorne (plays for Derby) to Torquay United and in his first two games he's got a 9.0 and a 9.2, and two goals. Midfielder, too

Rudy Gestede, Will Keane and Jack Hunt are my other babies

Gabriel Barbosa, one of the best young strikers on the game, 5 star potential and scores quite regularly. Michael Keane is great too.

Ante Rebic probably my best signing, signed him for £2m three seasons back and now he's a 4 and a half star and worth £12m, means that I've had Barca sniffing around him though and have had to give him a massive new contract to keep him happy. Andrea Petagna is another young player I got on the cheap and has improved a lot fast, and Larnell Cole and Shane Duffy been good servants to the club as well

Got to the FA Cup final last season with my Burnley side, lost in the last minute to United after a very dubious penalty but at least I got Europa League. Starting to realise how tough it is on the Prem season though, having Thursday away nights to Rubin Kazan and then playing Chelsea three days later has not been kind. Means I am currently 17th in the Prem but at least I topped my EL group

Check out that 7-0 win over the Finnish champions

Went back to my old Leeds save. Managed to get them promoted in the second season as league winners despite not having any money, think that might actually be the first trophy I've won on FM14.

First season in the Premier League was a tough one. Started out really well and I took 10 points from my first 5 games, but after that it was a disaster. Went into the final 4 games of the season 3 points above the bottom 3 with Liverpool, City, Everton and Chelsea as my remaining fixtures, somehow managed to beat both Liverpool and City and stay up.

Can't really be bothered doing another season with Leeds unless I get a really big budget for the upcoming season because my squad needs drastically improving. Hopefully a decent job comes up over the summer.

About to secure champions league footy with sporting for the 2nd season running despite having 0 budget.

Just waiting for a big job offer from the prem/la liga tbh.

I am officially a miracle worker. Took over Southampton on the squad updates and built the squad much better than it is being built in real life. Boilesen is one of the biggest bargains I've ever had on the game, he is an amazing wing back. Then again Odengaard was pretty much a free transfer and he is 5* potential.

The DM is really important in the system I use and I was missing Wanyama for almost half the season and was in terrible form without him, but when he played I generally got good results and eventually ended up finishing in a decent position

Went into the second season hoping I could go one step further and manage to get myself into the Europa League, only got given a budget of around £15m so I had to sell to buy most of the time. Origi was on loan and then Liverpool recalled him in January because he was banging them in for me (9 goals in 16 games I think) and I was above them in the league, then I had a tough decision between signing him or Icardi, went for Origi and it ended up being a great decision. The missing outgoing that boosts the prices up is Morgan S, got £20m for him. Brought Keita in so I finally had a decent back up for Wanyama as well.

Somehow I manage to defeat all odds and win the title.. I was top 3 all season pretty much but City overtook me with 2 games to go after I drawed with Villa, and my final 2 games were Chelsea and Utd but I somehow beat them both and finished first.

Tactic I have used in every single game. You need to have a really good defensive mid who has good attributes when it comes to his long shots (as well as obvious defensive ones), wing backs are probably next.

I'd say Clyne, Wanyama, Boilesen, and my two centre backs have been my best players. Coates and Chiriches have been an amazing partnership, I have Real Madrid after Chiriches now though.

Definitely my biggest achievement on FM14, even Gordon can't get enough

Fine work

Really want to start a new FM save, but with uni in a month I don't know if I can risk it. The amount of times it's taken up every minute of my free time...

Did some googling and found my old FM11 save run

With Rotherham
2010/11: 2nd (League 2)
2011/12: 4th (League 1), won play-offs
2012/13: 1st (Championship)
2013/14: 14th (Premier League)
2014/15: 10th
2015/16: 12th
2016/17: 5th
2017/18: 6th
2018/19: 1st
2019/20: 1st
2020/21: 1st
2021/22: 1st, Champions League
2022/23: 1st, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Super Cup, CWC
2023/24: 3rd, CL runner up, FA Cup, League Cup, CWC
2024/25: 1st, CL runner up
2025/26: 1st, FA Cup, League Cup

I literally had no life back then, many dark months spent playing FM all day every day. Was sort of amazing though tbh.

La Liga overtook us on the coefficient points so I guess Utd will be in the Play off round I guess

Actually, no, cos La Liga already get 4 spots and 4th here already goes into the play offs.. So I have no idea

Last day of the season, I go into it 1 point behind Chelsea but luckily they had to go up against a heroic loan star who I sent out earlier in the season

Anyone getting FM15? Think I'll wait for Christmas to get it cos I don't wanna splash out myself for it, kind of annoying though because it means its not really worth me getting into an FM14 game if I'll have the new one in a few weeks

I'm waiting until Christmas too, have a couple of PS4 games to keep me going until then. David has it and showed me some screenshots, looks like they've made a ton of improvements.

I've got it, it was hard getting used to at first but I'm liking it a lot now. The tactic creator is 10 times better and the graphics on the matches too, but I'm having a terrible time finding a tactic that is winning me games on a regular basis
