Nobody knows if the attack was 'random' yet do they? To be forewarned it to be four armed... and all four of my arms would be cancelling my flights.

No its not.
More reason to holiday there unless you want them to have the desired effect. People shouldn't wimp out. Fearmongering is how these gimps work. I am due to be in Tunisia for work in September and have no reservations about going ahead with my visit and will be combining business with pleasure. Tunisia is a fantastic place. The Tragic incident in Tunisia will and is being hijacked by the right wingers to try and spread fear and to try and further their racist agenda.
Transparent and idiotic in equal measures. Last edited by billy123; 19-03-2015 at 02:38 PM. |

The deaths in Tunis are real and if you feel that it's worth the risk to go at this moment in time fair play, personally if I were responsible for the safety of others I wouldn't right now.

The difference is we don't have the same level of religious and economic tension at the moment.
'Political situation Tunisia has experienced unprecedented political and social change since its revolution in January 2011. Legislative elections took place in October 2014, and Beji Caid Essebsi became the country’s first democratically elected President in December 2014. A new government was approved in parliament on 5 February 2015. 'Demonstrations sparked by political, religious or economic tensions may still occur. They can happen at any time and anywhere. Most protests are peaceful but some have affected key services and there are occasional incidents of violence and damage to property. There have also been incidents of protest on major roads designed to cause traffic delays and disruption. While demonstrations are not normally aimed at foreigners, international events can trigger anti-western protests.' https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-ad...y-and-security

All hail the Moyesiah

Tunisia isn't as safe as anywhere though, its in a region which is incredibly volatile right now and surrounded by countries plagued by extremism. Hopefully they can retain a semblance of stability where their neighbours have been unable to but it is going to be very tough for them. Obviously its peoples own decision to make but a holiday to Tunisia is a luxury. If the price of keeping yourself and your family safe is to pick a different holiday destination this year then its one that most people will be happy to pay

Not sure how they can predict how much money will be lost until they see how Tunisia handles this.

Is Tunisia really more Volatile than the UK? I dont think it is what do you base that statement on? edit: After a quick dig i can only find three incidents of terrorism in Tunisia's history (including yesterday) Sounds safer than the UK but lets not let a good old Knee Jerk reaction go to waste eh. Thats what they want. Last edited by billy123; 19-03-2015 at 05:46 PM. |
