So it had 550,000 in Ireland and Ireland has a population of 4.5 Million! so thats 1/9 in people watched BB in Ireland last night.
Uk has 64M, so 64 divided by 9 is around 7. So if the UK watched BB like Ireland it would have got 7 million last night! Thats crazy Last edited by Will.; 13-05-2015 at 05:37 PM. |

That's about a third of the people who watched it in the UK.

so I assume 550k is high for ireland then? I saw it in the ratings thread earlier and thought it sounded terrible but if thats actually 1/9th of the population then maybe it's not too bad after all.

I would reckon 550k would be in line with one of the most popular programmes over here like The Late Late show. Its a brilliant figure. I am glad. I love the fact that we can see it on our Irish channel now as well as Channel 5 |

If you knew how lousy Irish TV was you'd know why BB had large figs.

Irish television is not lousy. We have some brilliant programmes, documentaries, chat shows etc. I watch both Irish channels and other channels. The one channel I rarely watch is BBC1 as I don't find the programmes very interesting but I would never say its lousy. People have different tastes

Favourite housemates if a series is excluded, then I haven't watched it or don't currently have a favourite. Spoiler: |

It certainly seems like a bigger deal in Ireland at least relatively.
