Awful series of BB, this year. Wish they'd just axe it, TBH.

Yeah.
I'm surprised I'm enjoying it. I really thought I wouldn't. I loved the original series Celebrity Love Island, back in 2006. But when I heard it wasn't with Celebrities, I was disappointed. But it's been great. I still think the original show was much better as the format was more organized. But I'm loving the revamp. Hope it's back next year. When you are between the age of 20 and 30 you have no idea about love and what it actually means to love someone.

It's just called love island when in reality it's more shag island. Let's be honest

I disagree.
This show hasn't been that sex related at all. It's been more about couples. |

BB opened up with shag fest then the program started and no shag fest. Love Island two shags so far. 2-0.

Apparently LI is 6 weeks.
So we have just under 3 weeks left. OMFG, we're halfway through. I wish it was 10 weeks long. Wonder how they will get rid of them all. |

I just mean that the extent of their "love" is if they're gonna shag someone or not. I don't think anyone really comes on a reality show with the true intentions of finding love

I'm really annoyed Jess got back into bed with Josh. That will loose her a ton of support.
Part of me wishes it was a VTE, so Naomi would go this week. |

I reckon Max/Travis and Cally will be eliminated.
Jordan should go tbh. He's a bore. But for some reason loads of girls find him really attractive. Personally I think he's the worst looking out of all the guys.

I think Cally may stay as people might want to keep her in for Luis. Not entirely sure, though. I personally think Lauren is in danger, I really hope she stays as I love her. I wouldn't be surprised if Travis goes. |

So just caught up on this...
I don't think Naomi liked Josh that much, which is fine - this is a game after all, but I think the way she kept going backwards and forwards over the last couple of days with him and Max was really out of order. Make your decision and stick to it ffs. And I'm continually being appalled by her attitudes towards women quite frankly as well. Josh was the one who got into bed naked and Jess wasn't, yet there Naomi is bitching to Max that Jess is 'so slutty' and has 'no self respect'. Um, what? Sexist ****ing nonsense. At the end of the day they can both do as they please, Jess wasn't being a 'slut', there isn't even anything wrong with being a 'slut' anyway (rendering the term pointless) and I am really bored of the sexist nonsense she keeps spouting. It's awful the way some women think like this. Like, stick up for your own sex will you for Christ sake. Having said all of that, that it's a vote to save this time. They obviously learnt their lesson with Omar. I did roll my eyes at the fact they're getting the public involved again though, it was much better when they weren't so I wish they'd stop. Luis and Cally have barely had any screen time at all which really surprises me but they're both incredibly boring so I kind of want them to go now. Expect it'll be Travis and her though. |

You're a fan of Big Brother, which is run by the viewers (well used to anyway). The way I look at it is that it's our show and we should have a say in who stays and who goes? Otherwise we'll be stuck with people we don't like till the end. Not to mention without a public vote, it increases the risk of a popular person being eliminated as they may be popular on the outside, but not in the villa. I also wasn't a fan of how it was before, as without the public vote it was messy. One week we'd have two evictees, the next we'd have four. Not to mention the format was getting boring when you have so many evictions and all you're doing is re-coupling all the time, leaving the rejects to be eliminated. By having a public vote, it ensures the couples stay coupled up, and we get to judge them as couples as that's the whole point of the show. I also don't think Omar was that big of a loss, either, but that's just my opinion. Not to mention the original show back in 2005/6 had a public vote, and the show was much better back then. I do agree it was a bit messy and inconsistent before, but I was still enjoying it. You've misunderstood the point of the show a little bit though. The point of the show is indeed to couple up, but not for us to judge them. The point is to stay in the game you have to be in a couple, it's what Caroline said on the opening night. And that brings me onto my last point... This show has constantly referenced the fact that it's a ~game~, and that's a good thing. For far too long most shows on British TV have involved the public somehow, and as I said they usually ruin them, it's boring and there isn't that much skill involved. By having the contestants themselves decide who stays and who goes, you add the element that I just talked about - where to stay in you need to be in a couple, so there's the possibility that you could play someone just to give yourself a better shot at the money. And that's interesting. Playing with someone's feelings for six weeks for a shot at £50k (it should be more but oh well), that's evil and twattish but it's a game and something we need more of in the UK. Paranoia, who to trust, lies, betrayal, people playing each other. Once you involve the public you remove all of that really, cause then they're just trying to come off well and that usually (especially under VTE) means them trying to be nice and flying under the radar. Reality shows like Survivor and Big Brother US/Canada that have the people taking part voting each other out are so much better because there's strategy involved and the people who end up winning are far more deserving IMO than the people who win a show decided by the public. Also this is an unpopular opinion but I actually believe when the public are involved in controlling what happens in a reality show then it actually becomes less real than if you left them up to their own devices, which is natural. Once you have outside interference you aren't letting things play out. The game (albeit a developing, timid one) that it was in the early weeks > another bog standard reality show involving the public |
