Anyway Fleur had two dull as hell songs in the Top 5 round and she still came 3rd in the vote, and would've been 2nd had it not been for Andrea's rebound vote.

Fleur East has been pretty quiet since she finished in second place on The X Factor last year, but the exciting thing is that she has been busy working on her debut album, which we literally cannot wait to hear.

In a recent interview, East admitted that there will be some more ‘Uptown Funk’ type songs on the track, which is fantastic. If you cast your mind back to last year, you’ll know that Fleur was more or less the underdog on the show. During the first half of the live shows, Fleur was pretty much in he crowd and didn’t really stand out that much, but something changed around the midpoint, and she stood out for the rest of the series. But, it goes without saying that it’s when Fleur gave a stunning performance of Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk that things changed dramatically for her, and as a result, she found her voice and finished in second place.

Out of everyone on the show last year, if there’s one artist’s music we can’t wait to hear, it’s Fleur’s. She may have upset Mark Ronson in the process whilst performing Uptown Funk, but ah well.

However, Fleur is gearing up to put all those covers behind her as it’s almost time to hear her very own, original music.



Whilst we still don’t know when the debut single is to premiere from Fleur’s first studio album, we’d guess at it being pretty soon, as Fleur has just kicked off her promotional campaign with the looks of things.

Fleur has covered the latest issue of Fault Magazine with a stunning photoshoot, and she is looking amazing.

Speaking about her new music, Fleur admitted: “It’s all very positive, very uplifting. Music can be taken too seriously. I enjoy what I do and want people to feel that”.
