Read the Marie Claire piece it does a good job at explaining the overall message she was trying to convey rather than the glossed over, simplified version from people who don't get it.

It's like when viola Davis sat on a table with George clooney, theron and others and tried to explain about racism in Hollywood both clooney and theron made it about them and Theron diminished her point with a glossed over "I'll stop you right there your ****ing hot" was not the overall point

It does a good job of talking about racism.
